Leadership Harrisburg Area celebrated Black History Month at a luncheon event on
February 18, 2009

Featured speaker, Mr. Zachary Scott, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of UPS's Central Pennsylvania District shared 30 years of personal and professional experiences that have shaped him as a catalyst for change.  Mr. Scott worked his way up through the ranks at UPS and makes it his business to spot leadership potential, mentor for success, and strengthen those around him, ultimately impacting the productivity and bottom line for this worldwide organization. 

In addition to his role at UPS, Mr. Scott has served as a visiting professor for the National Urban Leagues' Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) which afforded him the opportunity to inspire and educate college students around the country.   Closer to home, Mr. Scott serves as a board member for the United Way of the Capital Region and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.

This luncheon aims to highlight best practices from the world's largest package delivery company and one of the most recognized brands across the globe.
