Leadership Harrisburg Area created the Community Leadership Series over 20 years ago on the premise that effective leaders must fully understand the issues facing their region, experience the opportunities offered by the region, and engage in providing solutions to the region's needs.  The Community Leadership Series provides the training, exposure, connections and opportunities for participants to impact change in their professional, personal, and community relations.

Each year Leadership Harrisburg Area accepts approximately 35-40 individuals into its Community Leadership Series through a competitive selection process. The selection process ensures the professional, cultural and geographical diversity of the class. Applicants who are not selected will be notified in writing and encouraged to reapply the following year.
