Leadership Harrisburg Area is a private, independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Capital Region through servant leadership and effective community service. Our mission is to engage, develop, and mobilize a diverse group of skilled leaders to shape our region’s future, strengthen our communities, and enhance the organizations they serve.

At reaching the quarter century milestone in 2011, over one thousand business and community leaders have graduated from our training programs. A recent alumni survey indicated that 92% of our graduates are actively serving the community as volunteers for 200 distinct local organizations, programs, events, and projects. At the average rate of 13 hours per week, they are giving back over a half million hours every year! As our outreach grows, so does our impact throughout the entire Capital Region.
