<p><strong>Capital Area Girls on the Run</strong> is in need of volunteers to help staff their Spring 5K on Saturday, May 18th at Milton Hershey School.  This race celebrates the end of the Spring 2013 season and will include 365 girls, their running buddies, as well as family, friends, and community members (an anticipated 1,000 runners).  There are many opportunities to get involved such as set up, registration, kids activities, directing runners, tear down, and more!  Interested individuals should complete a brief sign up form at <a href="https://www.elleevance.com/beventLive.aspx?EventID=NBI09157850">https://www.elleevance.com/beventLive.aspx?EventID=NBI09157850</a>.  Make sure to check off &#8220;5K race staff&#8221; on the form.  Then the Volunteer Coordinator, Ritu Light, will then be in touch with more information.</p>
<p><strong>Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA</strong> is seeking volunteers for its<em> Defy the Odds </em> drop-out prevention program which was developed locally in to help combat PA’s high drop-out rates. <p>The help of  200 volunteers is needed to accomplish a variety of tasks throughout the two-day build including skilled and unskilled construction, child care, and food preparation and distribution.  There will be something for everyone to do, and no one will be turned away.</p>
<p>Age Restrictions:</p>

<li>18 years and older: unsupervised</li>

<li>10-13 years old:  no tools</li>
<li>9 and under: in childcare</li>
</ul>
